Hollywood beauties Marion and Penelope walked the red carpet hand-in-hand as they premiered their hit movie-musical Nine in Paris on Thursday evening.
Both women were glowing in sequin-embellished frocks, though Marion, who hails from the French capital, got leggy in a mini-dress while Penelope opted for a full-length gown.
With the film’s other female stars, Kate Hudson, Nicole Kidman and Fergie absent, Marion and Penelope were joined on the red carpet by co-star Daniel Day-Lewis and director Rob Marshall.

Oscar nominee Penelope Cruz is in talks to join director Rob Marshall in the fourth instalment of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise.
Cruz, shortlisted for a best supporting Oscar for her role in Marshall’s Nine, will star opposite Johnny Depp, says The Hollywood Reporter.
Depp returns as Captain Jack Sparrow, in a tale revolving around the Fountain of Youth. Filming begins this summer.

Penelope Cruz is rumoured to have joined the cast of upcoming film Melancholia, according to Empire Online.
Director Lars Von Trier’s “psychological disaster movie” was reportedly written with Cruz in mind for the lead. Various sources in the European press have also reported that she is the star.
Although little information has been released regarding the plot of the film, a teaser shows a large planet orbiting dangerously close to Earth.
Von Trier insisted that the movie is a psycho-drama, despite its thematic sci-fi and disaster elements.
Melancholia will begin shooting later this year, with a Cannes Film Festival premiere scheduled for 2011.
Sean Penn, Kate Winslet and Penelope Cruz will be among the many presenters at this year’s 82nd annual Academy Awards, the Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.
The trio won Oscars last year for their respective performances — Penn in ‘Milk’; Winslet in ‘The Reader’; Cruz in ‘Vicky Cristina Barcelona.’ Cruz is also a Best Supporting Actress nominee this year for the movie-musical ‘Nine.’
Traditionally, the acting winners from the previous year return to hand out trophies of their own. Last year, a new twist was added, in which the winners from 2007 presented alongside a number of famous Oscar winners, including Robert DeNiro, Sophia Loren and Shirley MacLaine.
The 82nd Oscars air live Sun., Mar. 7 on ABC. Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin will host.
Penelope Cruz says she’s still in touch with all of her Nine castmates.
The actress confessed to having a ball filming with the likes of Nicole Kidman, Kate Hudson and Marion Cotillard when she spoke to E! live on the red carpet at this years SAG Awards.
She said she’d kept in touch with “all of them”, adding: “We spent a lot of months together. We trained for three months, then we shot for four months, so it was a very bonding experience,” she explained.
