Len Prince has revealed that photographing Penelope Cruz “was one of the most romantic shoots” he’s ever done.
The celebrity photographer, who shot the actress in 2005 for a spread in InStyle, has opened up about his experience filming Cruz.
Speaking to Radar Online about the shoot, Prince said: “Penelope looked at me and said, ‘I’ve seen your work before and you’ve come all the way to Paris. Don’t you want to do something more thought-provoking?’
“She was wearing this amazing white Ralph Lauren sweater jacket that came down to the floor. It really felt like we were in Paris. It was elegant, and it was expressive and so beautiful.”
He added: “It was a dream come true for me to have someone that wasn’t narcissistic or needy. She was a real artist. She gave me great images.”
One of the images was never published in the magazine but according to Prince, Cruz loved the photo so much that she now has it in her private collection.

MTV News spoke to producer Jerry Bruckheimer, who spoke about the villain in “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides” and how Penelope Cruz’s character fits into the story.
“She plays the daughter of Blackbeard,” he said about Cruz. “She’s the daughter of the bad guy. She brings a lot of humor to it. And she’s so feisty.” Bruckheimer added that there will be “a little romance between [Depp's] Captain Jack and the character that Penelope plays.”
Ian McShane is to set to play Blackbeard, the main adversary to Captain Jack Sparrow. As Bruckheimer put it, Blackbeard is “the nastiest pirate ever.”
Finally, there has been some doubt whether Geoffrey Rush will return to play Barbossa. Bruckheimer confirmed that Rush is expected to reprise his role.
Filming is set to begin in June for a May 20th, 2011 release.

IN THIS year’s Oscars frockfest, Penelope Cruz and Kate Winslet triumphed over Zoe Saldana and Vera Farmiga’s tragedies.
Splashy colour, strapless gowns and long trains were all the rage in LA as the who’s who of Hollywood stepped out for the 82nd Academy Awards.
Aussie star Sam Worthington and girlfriend Natalie Mark were early on the red carpet, strolling by under driving rain.
Wearing a Bironi suit, the knockabout star of Avatar used the opportunity to spruik for more work.
“I just need another job,” he said. “You take it as it rolls.
“You put your monkey suit on you come here and be what you need to be,” he added, chewing gum and saying he was wearing shoes from discount retailer Payless. Read more… »
Spanish actress Penelope Cruz said she is “very convinced” that she will not take home an Oscar from the 82nd edition of the awards, which will be held Sunday in Los Angeles.
The actress, who won an Oscar last year for her role in “Vicky Cristina Barcelona,” said that she will attend the award ceremony feeling less nervous than in 2009, when she was the favorite to win the prize.
“The truth is that just like I didn’t expect the nomination last year, this year (I expected it) even less. It caught me napping and I didn’t expect it at all. I’m very convinced that I’m not going to win and I’m coming (here) with the hope of having the experience once again and enjoying everything I could not (enjoy) last year because I was so nervous,” the actress said Saturday. Hollywood beauties Marion and Penelope walked the red carpet hand-in-hand as they premiered their hit movie-musical Nine in Paris on Thursday evening.
Both women were glowing in sequin-embellished frocks, though Marion, who hails from the French capital, got leggy in a mini-dress while Penelope opted for a full-length gown.
With the film’s other female stars, Kate Hudson, Nicole Kidman and Fergie absent, Marion and Penelope were joined on the red carpet by co-star Daniel Day-Lewis and director Rob Marshall.
Nine received four Oscar nominations, including Best Supporting Actress for Penelope’s performance. http://www.hellomagazine.com
